Am Freitag, d. 26.09.2014 gibt BlackBerry die Zahlen für das 2. Quartal des Fiskaljahres 2015 bekannt. Bevor Fragen aufkommen: Ja, 2015 ist richtig, denn es handelt sich um Zahlen des Fiskal- bzw. Geschäftsjahres.
Wir sind gespannt und wer weiß, vielleicht gibt es ja wie im Juni diesen Jahres weitere Neuigkeiten und Überraschungen.
Vorerst wäre es aber schon sehr gut, wenn sich die positiven Entwicklungen der letzten Monate bestätigen würden.
BlackBerry hat letzte Woche eine Firmenübernahme bekanntgegeben.
Das von BlackBerry übernommene Unternehmen Movirtu hat eine "Virtual SIM-Technologie" entwickelt die es ermöglicht, dass mehrere Rufnummern auf einem Gerät genutzt werden können. Dadurch sind Unternehmen in der Lage, ihren Mitarbeitern eine berufliche und eine private Rufnummer zur Verfügung zu stellen und das Gerät somit für private und berufliche Nutzung aufzuteilen. Durch getrennte Rechnungen zahlen Unternehmen und Mitarbeiter nur die jeweiligen Kosten.
Diese Akquisition unterstützt BlackBerrys Strategie im Geschäftskundenbereich. Auf Basis der sicheren BES Plattform und der globalen Netzwerkinfrastruktur bietet BlackBerry seinen Geschäftskunden ergänzende Dienste an, die einen klaren Mehrwert bieten.

Neben dem BlackBerry Z3 und dem BlackBerry Passport steht dieses Jahr auch noch der Verkaufsstart des BlackBerry Classic bevor.
